4 Tips to Make Your Work Week Smoother
The feeling of starting another work week and having to get ready for Monday is something we all struggle with. One minute it’s 5 o’ clock on Friday, then you blink and its 8 p.m. on a Sunday and it’s time to do it all over again. Even if you love your job, that 6 a.m. alarm always hits like a ton of bricks, and it's time to face new and interesting challenges of the day. There are a few ways to make the work week a little smoother so you can enjoy your time in the evenings. Although weekends are what we think of as our time to get out of the house and have fun, a little productivity before the week begins can go a long way. 1) Plan to Get Some Sleep
Before you think this is an arbitrary tip, consider what could happen if you actually did plan for a good night’s sleep. Rest is often what gets away from us when we're just simply watching TV because we feel like we are helping ourselves wind down. Not setting yourself up for quality sleep at the beginning of the week can set back your entire sleep schedule and cause you to drag. Staying up to binge-watch might sound relaxing at the time, but it’s really just adding to your exhaustion. Sleep makes for a happy brain, which in turn makes for a happier you. 2) Take an Hour to Prepare
Knowing the work week’s agenda before Monday arrives will help you feel like you have some control. You never know what fires can flare up once work begins. Having a grasp on your schedule and a prioritized to-do list will help your mind process each task better. And the best part of having a to-do list is the sense of accomplishment you will feel once you check things off of it. 3) Do a Quick Clean
Whether simply getting your laundry out of the way, or doing a quick clean up around the house, making sure you have less chores adding up will keep you from getting bogged down. Our All Natural All Purpose Cleaner
is a great product to get every hard surface from counter tops, shelves, the shower and even mirrors and windows. Then use the StaBiotic Mist
on things like rugs, carpets, curtains or bedding. Having a clean house to come home to will help you unwind and release any stress. A cluttered, messy home will only pile on to your stress and take away from your relaxation time.
4) Focus on the Positive
Going back to work on Monday is easy to dread, you’re only human. Try to focus your energy towards what could go right at work instead of what could go wrong. Even if it’s one simple thing to look forward to, like pay day, it will help you exude better energy towards everything else. Concentrate on what each work week brings you to better yourself and your work environment as a whole. When you think positively, positive things happen.
Practicing one of these tips or all of them will point you in the right direction for a smoother work week.
